Freeport, is it all bad?

Freeport Mine

Freeport yeah. I bet you readers always have a negative thinking about freeport. Me too. Heck yes, freeport is like implicit colonialism. They have been taking our damn precious couple of hundred thousands of gold from our soil. And what do we get? Nothing? Not so nothing, we still get a thing. Yeah. A thing.

So what do we get from freeport? First, we get money. How much money? WE DON'T KNOW. We never sure. Those american dipsh*t doesn't not have a transparency, and maybe so does our govt. Our govt. Never really show us how much money do we get from that damned goldmine. Or maybe uh... idk.

Second, we get education, wealthy living and so on. Uh wait, 'we' here not refer to 250million of Indonesian Citizens. Buuuut,it refers to just a small bunch of workers who work at the Freeport. Indeed. Of course, the Freeport are willing to make its worker wealthy, so they don't protest, and the gold craving process could continue without having trouble. Very nicely done move, uncle sam. A small investment to get an tremendously huge amount of money.

What else do we get? Nothing,w..wait. We still got a thing! An electriciry!money!food! Yayy! But which 'we' are we refer to, now? Yeah, still not the whole Indonesian ppl. Just a few village that is located near the mine, not whole Indonesian even the whole Papua. Ugh yeah, another strategy. Damnit.

What i suggest is, we should start doing some kind of transfer of technology. We still have 5 years before the contract ends, i think it's enough for us to get the knowledge of mining gold. And so after the contract ends, what is ours could be reclaimed back again. Hopefully.
